The Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa has a very beautiful name in the national language:
NEW FLOWER means Addis Ababa translated.

 In 1962, the Goethe-Institut was opened in Ethiopia - inaugurated as the German Cultural Institute by the then Emperor Haile Selassie and the German Ambassador Paulus von Stolzmann. In 2022, it celebrated its 60th anniversary. Learning German is therefore quite possible in Addis Ababa. The city is located at the foot of Mount Entoto, and at an altitude of 2,200 to 3,000 meters, it is the highest capital in Africa and the third highest in the world - after Quito (Ecuador) and Sucre (Bolivia). Due to the altitude, the climate in Ethiopia's capital is subtropical and there are long and warm summers. Winters are mild and dry. The months of June to September have the most rainfall; but there are also long periods without rain, which is the great fear in Ethiopia: Drought. There are then crop failures and hunger. Vita of Pastor Amanuel Debessai
* 03.03.1957 in Asmara, Eritrea
After school and vocational training as a qualified electrician, he began a career in his skilled profession that took him to various countries around the world, including Germany, where he finally settled.
His vocation, however, since his earliest youth, was the Christian mission. So he used every time he had besides his profession to help other people with charity.
This help became his main field of activity many years ago and has remained so until today.
In the beginning, GOSPEL VISION MINISTRY was only based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Then, in 2020, the association GOSPEL VISION MINISTRY e.V. was founded in Frankfurt am Main. And now the association is starting to work. Thank God!
Of course, there are still close contacts with the various GOSPEL VISION churches in Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, South Korea, as well as in Canada, Italy and the United States of America. In addition, Pastor Amanuel also has close ties with the congregation of "The Ethiopian Full Gospel Believer's Church" in Addis Ababa, and the "Rehobot Eritrean Church in Vancouver, Canada.
